More info:
Wednesday evening potluck picnics have been a tradition at Immanuel in the summer. This year we have these dates available for picnics: June 12 and 26, July 3, 10, 24 and 31 and August 7.
The picnics can be hosted by individual households or small groups.
They can be hosted at homes or at a shelter in a park.
It’s a good chance to share garden bounty and stay connected with each other during the summer when people are coming and going more.
If there is no host signed up for a week, there will not be a picnic.
Unless otherwise noted, hosts will:
- Provide drink–large dispenser from church can be borrowed
- Have extra tableware available
- If grilling, have extra hot dogs or hamburgers for others and provide condiments (ketchup, mustard etc.)
- Inform the congregation by email of the address, time, parking instructions (remembering those who can’t walk far), if people need to bring chairs, and any other instructions for the gathering.
- Inform by email of weather cancellations and rescheduling
Picnic attendees will:
- Bring something to grill for your family, if desired, and a side dish to share
- Bring your own place setting and cup
- Bring a chair if requested by the Host
A sign-up sheet for hosting is available electronically, Contact Betsy Dintaman bdintaman@gmail.com if you have questions.
